Legit check on the above … in particular how they’d source and authenticate rare and vintage bottles, if you know.
Bump. Sounds like Thatcher, but Massholes. [shrug]
About us:
Berkeley and Stuart is a wine merchant offering an unparalleled collection of fine & rare wines from across Europe and the new world. It is the first collaborative project by partners Brahm Callahan, Scott Leverenz and Dan O’Brien. The name pays homage to the intersecting streets in Boston, where each of us worked as sommeliers. Together, we travel the globe, visiting, tasting and deepening our relationships with growers and winemakers, documenting everything along the way.
While some of the wines we offer are among the rarest in the world, our mission is to provide all wine lovers with a hand-picked, hard-to-find selection, no matter your budget. We present this collection to you across a rich, seemless, e-commerce experience.
I purchased from them in January 2024 mail order and had no problems.
This is an independent review. Beyond email, I have never met them face to face, and to the best of my knowledge have no relationships with anyone associated with the store.
One of their reps came to our Rhone dinner last fall. I haven’t bought anything but seems like prices are good
Feel like I should follow up and close the loop on my OP. Ordered 3 bottles of not inexpensive wine from them and received as expected. Bottles were packaged extremely well.
