Ah ok cool.
Jordan are you a winebroker? I am looking for one as well.

Nope.

If you are looking to consign, you have Acker and Zachys close by

Any retailers consign?

Not sure of the legality.

Its legal. WineCellarage in NYC does it. They just rip your face off with storage and commission fees.

varies by state of course

gonna pay significantly more in fees using that route instead of auction

Exactly, which is why i’m looking for a broker or retailer to consign my bottles at retail.

I’ve done the auction circuit before - everything trades 25%-40% lower than retail because of the buyers premium on the other side. Whatever is left in profit then gets eaten up by their commission.

If only my state allowed an online only wine shop.

and you pay a much higher fee to get the higher retail prices.

Can’t have it both ways

besides the wine can sit for months on end if it even sells at all

I’ve consigned to Chicago Wine Co.

Whether retail or auction, the estimate for my net was more or less identical
