they kind of release in tranches. I was in the first and if they are sending me notes, I wonder how many in the 1st tranche passed.

I got a reminder today as well, was in the last wave (Jan 6th) as a new addition to the list. 6 bottle limit.

A year ago or so, I would have been thrilled to be added. Instead, I am gonna pick up the Rudius 2008 Cab on futures and get about three of those for the price of 1 QC. Timing is everything.

I wonder if their ordering system only sends those that haven’t ordered yet? The reason I as is I’ve already placed my order (going to locals) and I didn’t receive a follow up notice.

Joe,

I ordered my full allocation last year (24/1) and shared most. I then got an email asking if I wanted more wine above my allocation. The worm has turned I guess. I might have ordered this year (first miss since 2000) with a discount and free shipping for a long loyal customer, but don’t see that happening.

Reminder must only be going to those that didn’t order. I ordered on Tuesday and got offered 3 750s and 1 mag more than they said my allocation would be, heard this from several others on CT.

I think they are seeing the slowdown hit them now too. Agree, wish they had given 10% and free shipping like many of their peers are doing these days.

They have no trouble selling their wine (just takes a wee bit longer in this economy). Sounds like good customer service to me - offering to folks that ordered in the past who hadn’t ordered yet (before opening up the offering). I didn’t get it, but I already ordered. If I hadn’t ordered, I would have been grateful for the follow-up.
