Recs for Grand Cru white Burg for $200-$350?

Any recs for a bottle to purchase and drink in a few weeks?

I will be flying with the bottle and drinking about 30 hours after landing.

Thanks in advance!

I’m a big fan of the Pernot BBM in that price range, if you don’t mind young white burg.

Just had the 2019 Morey Blanc Corton Charlemagne. It was delicious.

Go with one of the Batards. CC isn’t really a GC in most cases especially in that price range.

Thanks all!

Will go through these.

BTW: For the one Michael recommended, very expensive shipping from NY to CA, plus a processing fee, which took the total up quite a bit.

Rapet Corton-Charlemagne is one of the better value Grands Crus and a CC that actually lives up to the name.

If you like a very leany and stone-driven feel- try Chanson Corton-Vergennes. Imagine the flavor profile of a Corton-Charlemage but with a tension, and stony drive almost on the level of a Montrachet- but overall lean and reserved. I say all this because it is the kind of wine you will really like only if that style appeals to you.

They are a large neogicant with little US presence and this is one of their top wines. I am a huge fan and it runs $200 or less in recent vintages. The 2017 is a good one to try now- though it will last and improve like any other great grand cru. 2019 and 2020 might be showing well young too- but the 2018 has shurt down.

What not purchase it in California and pick it up on arrival?

Love Hi Time

Another consideration: rather than a “bargain” Cote d’Or GC, you might prefer to get a great Chablis GC in that range. Quite a few to choose from, but I imagine both Dauvissat and Fevre should be relatively easy to source, even something like a 2014.

Agree on the Bouchard.
