Recommendations for wine from 1997

I would echo the rec for the 1997 Sammarco – excellent when I had it in 2015, and I still have one bottle that I am saving for another special occassion. I see it is on winebid for $85 – again if you are in the US.

Poujeaux 1997 downslope for some 5+ years.
No recomm.
Vintage port?!
Pavie Macquin 1997 was nice aprox 5 years ago.
Sauternes?!

I forgot - at a reasonable price Sociando-Mallet 1997 is a very good wine too.

Great buy!

Yes, Vintage Port. A strong vintage and likely to still be vibrant.

Look at Tuscany

Also look at Barolo, if you’re into that style of wine. Great vintage in Piedmont.
