We are energized and inspired not only by the pursuit of greatness in winegrowing but also by building meaningful relationships with those who make this quest possible. We sometimes think of Realm as a collective effort to transform nature into humanity. In that spirit, we are thrilled to unveil Realm X as a way for us to bring our wines, people, places and stories to life.
We closed our doors to guests nearly five years ago, and we’ve been working toward a reopening ever since. Construction delays, Covid and the 2020 wildfires conspired against us over the past few years, but thankfully there has also been welcome news. We acquired the remaining hilltop parcel at our Stags Leap District Estate, which added more vines and a new Estate wine to our portfolio. After many years of sourcing fruit from Houyi Vineyard, the opportunity to acquire the land came up in 2022. So, as we reopen to members, we figured the natural place to begin would be at our newest Estate on Pritchard Hill. The Estate Visit experience will rotate through the seasons, highlighting different wines or ideas or perspectives that each contribute to the Realm journey. Each thematic series will run for about six months and then be replaced by something new.

Realm X is about much more than just reopening our Estates to visits. We want to create moments and experiences throughout the year when we can connect with members, express our gratitude, partner with like-minded brands, or simply share a glass of wine. The format could be a tasting at a wine shop or a dinner with one of our favorite restaurants around the world. You can expect to see the reappearance of a few larger events in the future such as the Practical Dreamer tour we organized in seven U.S. cities in 2019. Realm X also means a simple thank you, sometimes expressed through a small gift as an acknowledgment of your support or for reaching a particular milestone. We plan to expand our previous Speaker Series to allow some members to experience a discussion by various wine luminaries and artists. In essence, Realm X is a way to experience Realm beyond the glass, outside the bottle…to hopefully develop a greater sense of meaning for this journey that you have chosen to be a part of.
We are unveiling this program on our website today with an initial set of experiences. We expect to be routinely adding new opportunities to join us for various activities in Napa Valley and around the world. Some events are open to members and non-members alike. Other experiences, such as the Estate Visit, are prioritized for our longest-tenured members. Beginning today, members who have been with us for over five years have first access to reserve a spot for the first of our Estate Visit series, which opens September 13. Beginning in October, we will open up reservations for Estate Visits to all active members. Details and reservations for future Estate Visit series will also be available in October.
Life is constantly reminding us that a great bottle of wine is meant to be shared with friends and family. We hope Realm X not only enhances your appreciation and understanding of our wines but also provides a deeper look into the ethos of Realm. Transforming nature into humanity may sound like a lofty aim, but we’ve come to cherish the simple moments and experiences that make this endeavor possible.
