Ok, so i finally made the QC list. I’ve never had any of these wines. I’ve had the regular cabernet and enjoy it, so what do you all think of the other wines?

2006 Palengat Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon Horse Heaven Hills
2006 Red Wine Columbia Valley

REd Wine is a good buy. I passed on the others.

I, too, made the list. The listers must be dropping like flies.

Recent experience with the QC Estate Cab has been very disappointing. It had too much oak and gloop for even me. Red Wine has been OK, and is probably a safe play.

Zach buy the Single Vineyard Estate Wines, meet a nice Jewish girl have a couple of kids. Enjoy the Palengat Vineyard at the boys Bar Mitzvah and the Galitzine at your daughter’s wedding. If you don’t get married and have children, then celebrate your 50th B-Day with them. You can buy the less expensive 06 Red Wine and drink starting 2012.
I have a bunch and have already put my five year old’s name on them. headbang

Looks like you guys got my allocation…personally I don’t think it’s worth half what it cost.

If your getting into the world of Burgs…I would say your money is spent better there…pass.

I have only tried the QC flagship wine once (1998) and found those around me enjoyed far more than I did. It seemed to lack terrior, like an Aussie wine. In fact, doesn’t Mr. Big (Points) Jay rate both for Bob? The conclusion I came to was why drink Aussie when you can buy American? neener [stirthepothal.gif]

I passed on my two most recent QC offerings. I have loved the QC Estate Cabs from the latter part of the 1990’s, but have not been particuarly impressed with the more recent vintages.

Somone got my allocation as well. I passed on them this year, even passed on the Red. To me, at least at this point, it is not worth the price…particularly given the double shipping to NJ.

BTW…love the Biko avatar and song quote. I saw Peter Gabriel do it in concert. Great moment.

The 98 is a great wine, full of soil/earth/minerality - you must be thinking of the Foley Claret, a wine devoid of soul/terroir/
