Martignetti Liquors is closing their sole remaining retail location on Soldiers Field Road on March 18. Too bad, because there were often interesting things in the closeout bins. I called and they are currently running 20% off everything. That’s better than nothing but certainly not back-up-the-truck levels given the high-ish shelf prices. Does anyone know if they intend to increase that as the closing date gets closer? Lots of interesting stuff on the shelves last time I was there.
I was never much of a fan of this place and stopped going well over a decade ago.
They will be concentrating on their wholesale distribution like to all of the NH State stores in which thy sucked all the value as far as wine in concerned from those franchises as well.
That’s a great lot for development. I bet they’ll get a nice payout.
new england distributing mafia.
In the mi-1970s, we used to buy a keg of beer there every Friday, bring it to BU Law School, and set it up in the first floor lobby with a coffee can for contributions. Students, Professors and anyone from the graduate schools was invited. They always lent us a pump tap. When the collections were good, we got a better quality beer. When the collections were poor, it was PBR.
