That’s disappointing to hear, but hasn’t the '08 only been released since June? I wouldn’t think storage would effect it too much, but I could be wrong.
Ws pro seems to show the non chef de cave available 3 months ago ! However maybe the stores didnt take the trouble to describe it properly describe it. I did grab 3 Chef de Cave for $169 which is probably just as good a deal as it is much more rare is pretty much gone and is nicer packaging. Over time it will possibly appreciate more as some people care about trivial things like that.
If you think I am crazy , case in point the stupid prices people pay for the Caymus 40th, with a fancy label that’s worth about $40 to me a I hate the stuff. Some friends do though and I would make them happy !
Are the regular edition same wine as the Legacy edition that was released last year? The regular edition hasn’t been seen here in Calgary yet but the Legacy is selling for $200 US
Assuming it isn’t the Legacy label, it was released in the past six weeks or so. So no oppressive heat but probably at 70 degrees since they received it. Probably not an issue for that period of time, but I wouldn’t wait too long if I was a buyer.
i think it would be fun for you to try, it drinks very well already, which may be the vintage. absolutely pancaked a 99 salon mag next to it. but the mag was sabered and the dp was opened in the normal fashion.
I’d say that qualifies as some pretty active intraday repricing! It does kind of make me wonder though, if these are algo based computer driven changes or manual ones …
