Tonight’s light supper, after a couple indulgent days, was a salad of mixed greens, escarole, radicchio, arugula, radishes, green onions; dressed with a Provençal mix of onion powder, celery seed, Herbes de Provence, mustard, lavender, & Kpsher salt in a mix of Blood Orange Olive Oil & Champagne Vinegar; garnished with hard-boiled egg, and topped with Pâte Campagne w/genevriére. This was enjoyed up on our balcony, on a slowly cooling evening, with a 2007 Domaine Ott Chateau de Selle Côtes de Provence Rosé - dark rose in color, rich strawberry - berry fruiit in nose & flavors; full-bodied balanced mid-palate; with a long rich fruity finish. A nearly perfect match with the salad on a warm summer eve.
