Pee-ay, Pay or Pee?
Go here and watch the video…sounds mostly like Pay
PS, I drank their 2011 Savoy Pinot Noir over the weekend…just plain delicious!
Pay it is.
Pay.
“Throat warbler mangrove.”
The family says ‘Pay’.
Like the abbreviation for the state of Pennsylvania, PA, or “Pee-A”
Nope… it’s Pay!!

Remember when Teddy KGB says “Peeaay the meeaaann hees mahneee” in Rounders? Maybe it’s like that.
If they pronounce it pay, why don’t they spell it Pay?

One of my wife’s favorites.
She can identify it in blind tasting, and has been noted say, “Really good, I can really taste the Peay-ness of this one.”
If the OP had asked instead how to pronounce “Maison Ilan” this thread would be 5 pages by now.
It’s a CA wine. Of course it’s PAY.
Huh? Why would it matter where something was from? If this were so, we would be watching the Kol-Bert Ree-Port cuz this is Amerika, dammit!

We were with Nick yesterday at the vineyard. Very remote so quite a commitment to visit. About 90 minutes thru mostly narrow winding mountain roads west of Healdsburg. But the payoff once there was great. Beautiful site, meticulous farming and winemaking, sublime wines. And I can proclaim 100% it’s pronounced “Pay” ![]()
John, we’re making our 6th trip to the ‘Farm’ in August. It is indeed a beautiful site.
Bud- wow! You are a dedicated fan of the wines. My wife’s comment was “next time were going to the winery in Cloverdale to taste”. Halfway kidding I think. That trek is tougher on the passenger than the driver I suppose. Dodging the logging trucks was the scariest thing about it.
