Progeny Cabernet Sauvignon

Anyone familiar with this wine?

We are pleased to announce the debut of the new Progeny Winery Cabernet Sauvignon. This inaugural release of our special cabernet is only 100 cases of hand crafted wine from our best vineyard block on Mount Veeder. We aged this cuvee 30 months in new French oak, followed by more than two years in the bottle. Created by the same team that brings you the O’Shaughnessy wines, we are very proud of this first Progeny Winery release.

We have had an overwhelming response to our invitations to this new mailing list and are excited to provide you, as an O’Shaughnessy Harvest Friend, with the first opportunity to purchase the 2006 release between now and April 15th.

2006 Progeny Cabernet Sauvignon

“Our inaugural release of 2006 Progeny Cabernet Sauvignon from our Mount Veeder vineyard has a saturated deep red color with a solid core. Ripe aromas of blackberry, blueberry, currant, pomegranate, cherry wood and cigar box are surrounded by beautiful perfumed aromas of cherry blossoms, sweet vanilla and hints of charred toast and lead pencil shavings. On the palate, the wine is seamless with mature integrated tannins, concentrated vinous flavors and a full and rich body with a finish that lasts for several moments.” - Sean Capiaux

Allocation: $300 for two 750ml Bottles

Commerce corner.

Aah. It seems you are correct. Without quotes and with the allocation info at the bottom, it looked like an offer. Mea culpa.

I know that the winery in question is the same name of the vineyards
In which the fruit is sourced. The vineyard is the same used for O’saug’s Mt. Veeder bottling and for Garguilo’s bedded bottling. Can someone chime in on the differences between O’saug’s veeder cab and a cab made by O’saug’s winemaker from the same vineyard but with a different name?
