If you include all the wooden boxes on the ground there’s about 1200. Racking alone is probably closer to 800-900.
I honestly thought those were just rumors, nicely done Pat
That shelf and mirror fooled me. i thought it was a window into a second cellar room. Great collection there.

It’s actually a window into a home office we have. Makes it easy to grab a bottle after a rough day of work!
We do have a second cellar in the basement, but it is passive. We use if for daily drinkers / bottles that don’t need long term aging. First world problems.
Definitely …you’re not alone
Wow, way to drop those Macdonald bombs. Beautiful cellar, I would display those as well!
That’s a great looking cellar Andrew.
Like the pull out racking. You got some nice racks!

Anyone else zooming in on these pics to peek at the wines?
That would be me.
After a long delay, I worked on the wine cellar again this weekend. I finished lighting and electrical, and built two platforms to level out the unlevel floors and support shelves. The platforms were an interesting challenge because I had to learn how to cut tapers on a table saw. Luckily there are YouTube videos for that.
My new ‘show cellar’ in Provence. It’s built in an old grape fermenting vat on the side of my house. We hacked through the 2 foot thick wall to join it up with the rest of the house. It’s designed for the best stuff and has a small tasting counter to one side
It’s cooled by Eurocave cellar chiller
Your new cellar is gorgeous! Nice job.
Very pretty, are you concerned about light at all?
Amazing cellar, and that Rayas is
Re Light - 95% of the time the cellar is very dark. The lights are dimmable so when people are inside I usually make it quite dark. This also means my wife can’t find me so easily !
Looks awesome, what’s capacity?
The capacity is only 200 bottles. I have two other cellars at the house that hold about 4,000 bottles so this new one is more of a showcase/ tasting room. The other two aren’t as welcoming !
Holy hell, I can only imagine wasting so much space for vanity!
