Port in Paris

I’m a Brit who lived in New York for several years until summer 2009. In NY I brought together a group of port enthusiasts who met, and happily still meet, for port tastings, typically once a month.

Naturally, I am keen to arrange the same in Paris. There is port—well, there is port mostly in England, but my Paris basement has enough for a 1985 horizontal. Even so, a ten-bottle port tasting for me alone would be a mite more than the doctor recommends. Medical theory will catch up with practice—but it hasn’t yet. What is needed is for some other port enthusiasts to join me.

While I can’t make this…yet. I’ve know Julian for a few years, including spending a few weeks at different times with him in Portugal and the UK. He is a great chap, to steal his term, and I guarantee if you like Port you’ll have a great time with him and his wife. So if you’re in the area please drop him a line.
