For those of us who use one stem for 90+% of your wine consumption (aka ‘Universal’), interested to see what people are using, and hopefully I get most of them here as a poll: (likely won’t get all, sorry)
Spiegelau Definition has become my everything glass for its combination of size, shape, weight, and affordability - I think I got mine on sale for $19 per.
Spiegelau Vino Grande, red and white. Inexpensive, around $15 Can a stem iirc. Good profile. Not the very thinnest but then they survive hand washing very well.
I was mostly using the Jancis Robinson Universal Glasses by Richard Brendon before nabbing a pair of Glasvin Kane gasses during the Berserker Day sale earlier this year. The Kane glasses now reign supreme for me
I use my Spiegelau Definition glasses for everything. As everyday stemware and for wine geeky dinners.
I don’t buy Zalto anymore but still have a few left. The Definition glasses are so similar that I can easily mix them together for bigger wine dinners which is a plus.
