This is what finally worked for me, as simply clearing the cache left me having to log in each and every time, despite checking the “auto login” box. Thanks, Todd
Because the cookies are now secure, all your browsers will need to be refreshed, by clearing cookies from this site. I’ve also renamed the cookies, so in the future they will be easier to find (now they will be named wine_berserkers)
Here’s a guide for removing cookies (including most mobile browsers) that will be helpful:
NOTE THAT IF YOU DON’T DELETE THE OLD COOKIES AND LET THE NEW ONES BE SAVED BY THE BROWSER, YOU WILL HAVE TO LOG IN EACH TIME YOU ACCESS THE FORUM
It’s the thin air up where you stand - just ask Dr. Glenn
If you aren’t having troubles, don’t worry about it. Most on Safari won’t have troubles, but IE and Firefox probably will. If you see ‘https’ in your browser address bar, you’re on the secure site. If you don’t have to sign in each time you visit, your cookie settings probably adjusted well enough (and that’s one reason why I renamed them, to make it easier)
On my Mac Air yesterday, I had no problems at all. Never had to sign in or delete cookies. On my windows machine today I’ve had to sign in multiple times even after deleting the WB cookies. I also have a new tiny icon in the URL box that says the site is trying to “load scripts from an unauthorized source.”
Also, am I correct that there is no way to clear cookies on the iphone without dumping all my passwords and log in data?
Even more amazing is that you’ll find innumerable IT ‘specialists’ on staff who know not much more than how to Google problems that arise. Easiest job ever.
At my prior firm they blocked reddit, youtube, espn, gmail, facebook, imgur etc… basically every website i’d go to. I asked IT to lift it they said no =(.
