Places to stay in and around Napa...

So my wife and I have stayed at her uncle’s house the past 3 years in Tiburon, but he’s renting it out. Damn it… What places in and around Napa do you reccommend that won’t cost me my left arm?

Try for the El Bonita Motel in St. Helena… simple but clean, affordable and within walking distance from Taylors.

Also, the Best Western Elm Street in Napa proper is cute and inexpensive.

Also check http://www.bnb.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; for any good deals in Napa/St. Helena.

This website may not always have the lowest prices but they are a good point of reference for most places in the valley.

Always liked River Terrace Inn in Napa - stayed there 3 times, clean and cheap* (*for Napa).

Try staying somewhere outside the valley. Seriously. Vallejo, Benicia, Novato . . . not too far away.

Good plan…it’s not that much of a drive.

I would not stay in Vallejo or Benecia. The drive up Hwy 29 through Vallejo into the Southern portion of Napa SUCKS. It’s one of the worst around.

I like the suggestion of El Bonito in St Helena. Also, look at places in Calistoga - more B&B type places and a little cheaper. Plus you are fairly close to getting over into Sonoma County (specifically Healdsburg and the heart of the Russian River Valley) by using Petrified Forest Road.

Just stay with Dandridge or Sequi…

I’m hoping I already laid claim to Segui’s pad! LOL

i agree with Todd, the best places to star are the free places to stay

Another vote for El Bonita. IIRC, priced about $159 weekdays, $189 weekends. The location’s perfect - about 1/2 way between Taylor’s and Dean & DeLuca. Last time there was at crush. The heavenly smell absolutely hung on the valley floor.

we’ve used the staybridge suites in fairfield a couple of times, a brand new hotel that is super clean and has everything you’d need. the suites have plenty of room – the last trip was 5 guys and we had 1 bdrm with 2 queens, 1 bdrm with a king and the living room had a sleeper sofa along with a kitchenette. not too shabby for <$200… [berserker.gif]
