With a new client in Philadelphia, it looks I’ll be around town a bit more. After 25 years of living in Philly, it’s great to have a new opportunity to visit on a more regular basis.
Anyways, wanted to see if there was interest in dinner on 5/28. Despite my client being in Newtown Square, I’m staying in Center City. I will bring wine with me.
Wouldn’t be available on the 27th (Memorial Day) but may be able to swing the 28th especially if you end up doing it out towards Newtown Square. I am actually a few miles from Newtown Square.
How about The Farm & Fisherman (farm to table), definitely one of the best BYOBs in Philly now, and there are openings on OpenTable.
Or Koo Zee Doo (Portugese) and Kanella (Cypriot), a couple of favorites I haven’t been to in a while.
Not sure what’s around Newtown Sq, unless Blackfish in Conshohocken. They will have their Tuesday $45 tasting menu special going on. I’m in the burbs too, but have no problem driving downtown for good food.
Or here’s an idea, how about Marigold Kitchen? University City, so outskirts of the city. I’ve never been, but it’s supposed to be great. 6:30PM res available for 4 on OpenTable.
I ate at Marigold two weeks ago, pretty interesting molecular cuisine, with mandatory 4/5/6 course meals for $50/60/70 or so. LONG service time.
Sorry to miss you this time around Matt.
One of these days…
Kevin - Marigold sounds good to me but at this point I am still trying to finalize my travel schedule for that week. I am a maybe at best so I would plan without me. Thanks, Steve
