I don’t really see much talk about PH wines on this board. I wanted to get your guys thoughts on their Beckstoffer single vineyard offerings compared to the likes of Vice Versa or Realm. Paul Hobbs pricing on the BTK seems to be about the highest of any other BTK wine out there, that also seems to be the case for Dr Crane and LPV as well. I’m wondering if the wines worth the $$ or if it’s better spent on the other producers previously mentioned or MM, Carter etc…
I’ve had all three, and they’re good—but for my palate there are not enough distinguishing notes to warrant the dollar difference at release prices. YMMV. Have some in the cellar, all picked up on the secondary market/auction at prices comparable to those you mention above.
