A friend is going to Paris on a semi-regular basis (he’s a flight attendant). When I was in Alsace in 2018, I had eau de vie made from Alisier. It was compelling stuff. It’s not common and according to wine-searcher, not available in the US. He said he’d get a bottle.
What stores might carry it?
Unfortunately, despite some online searching, it’s looking like the only places you can buy it are in Alsace.
indeed
I had it at Zum Pfifferhus in Ribeauvillé. Next door was a wine and liquor shop. Unfortunately, I had to leave Alsace the next day before it opened.
I’m still trying to find Peppermint Schnapps someplace, anyplace. It seems it doesn’t exist anymore. Yet I know many producers make it.

Are you looking for Alisier based only?
There’s a few cavistes carrying eau de vie in Paris.
Most cavistes and supermarkets carry some eau de vie, at least Poire Williams and a few others. The Alisier is the rarity.
I’m specifically looking for alisier. I did a thorough search and came up empty. Probably 10 shops.

Gotcha. Why not just order it online to your friends hotel— seems to be the most simple.

Try G34.3 in the Marais; if Freddy doesn’t carry it he may well know who does.
