Cool climate Garnacha based grown on schist (or llicorella, which is almost the same). But IMO a lot of Priorat is either expensive or mediocre (or worse still both). That Ribera stuff is full of Tempranillo, which may not be the best match. Bierzo has the acidity but not always the quality.
Find a good $11 Calatayud.
