I’m really not bug phobic but I will admit to consuming less salmon after we had that worm discussion a few years ago.

though this is a case where plastic packaging is far better then hessian.

It’s actually inside a plastic bag with the burlap if that makes any difference.

No idea if the Royal brand is considered great by the rice aficionados but it’s always been tasty enough to me.
I prefer to make our own in the zojirushi rather than eat the generic stuff we get at local takeouts.

There have been threads on both, this is the one I was remembering, but I re-reread the one from ‘11 that was swordfish as well.

Seafood and worms.

anyone who tells me that there aren’t worms in even high end seafood is living in fantasy. Don’t get me wrong–I love fish. Long ago, I bought swordfish at a very reputable seafood place that services many LA and OC restaurants. Looked great and I placed it in a marinade, flipped it a few minutes later and dozens of worms–unhappy w he marinade, were wiggling out from between the muscle fibers. A couple weeks later–pulled out some white stringy things from salmon–took two to the lab at the hospit…
