Official WTSO thread

So, I went into their website and picked out 4 bottles I bought before, and got the $8 discount. With the discount, 2009 Latour blanche for $31 and 2015 Château Haut-Gravet 'Grand Chemin for $20. Thanks.

2017 Stangeland Pinot Noir Eola Hills Cuvee - USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley, Eola - Amity Hills (10/31/2019)
Day 1: An old friend. Have not have a Stangeland in a while. WTSO deal. Very nice with soy, spice, violets, strawberries and minerals. Short to medium finish with good acidity. Solid wine for less than $20.
Day 2: A bit better with beef tips, earth, strawberries, spice and minerals. Very clean wine flavorful. This is young and needs time but the potential is there. 90 points
Day 3: Even better. Strawberry, violets, cherry, spice, minerals and cedar. Medium plus finish. The best day of the 3. 91 points
Recommendation: Buy this on WTSO. Stangeland is one of the most underrated Oregon Producers. (91 points)

One of the better values on WTSO in the last year!!!

Degli Dei Cavalli Toscana IGT 2012 for $25 last chance section

Lucien Lardy Fleurie les Roches, 2017, was really good last night. Much better than the Lardy Fleurie les Moriers vignes de 1911. That was a decent wine too, and a good value, but it hovered between just good and something slightly better. May have needed more time. The Roches was excellent. Bright, forward, fun gamay. Just about everything I want in a cru Beaujolais. Silly value at $15.

2017 Domaine Richard Rottiers Moulin-à-Vent Foudres - France, Burgundy, Beaujolais, Moulin-à-Vent (11/14/2019)
Day 1: Good price on WTSO so figure give it a try since Thanksgiving is coming up. Very fruit forward wine featuring raspberries, strawberries and cranberries. Lots of floral also and a bit sweet on the palate. This is a decent offering but certainly not even close to the 93 points a critic gave this. Easy drinking and crowd pleaser. 87 points
Day 2: Very similar to day 1. Lots of fruit and basic table wine. Nothing too exciting here and this wine will not improve with age. 87 points
Day 3: A little better so hope for this wine with some cellaring. Minerality, floral, more concentrated fruit and dust. Actually picks up some funk on the finish. Day 3 has done wonders for this wine. 89 points
Recommendation: Hold this wine for a few years and enjoy. Just not ready yet. (89 points)

This wine needs some time and with the $8 was around $15.00 a bottle

What is up with the 95 point Decanter World Awards scores? I thought Decanter used to be a source for good wine reviews.

2015 Flaneur Pinot Noir Flanerie (USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley, Ribbon Ridge)
Solid price at $24.99

2015 Helioterra Pinot Noir Willamette Valley - USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley (11/18/2019)
Day 1: Light in color. Classic Willamette Valley with cranberry, spice, earth, dust and cedar. Flavorful and medium, multilayered finish. Excellent value from WTSO for under $20. 90 points (90 points)
Under $20

Any mags that struck your fancy?

Lot of good CDP but I’m loaded up with CDP (same wines, just regular bottles) so I didn’t bite. Evidently plenty of other did, though, as they sold out quickly.

I followed the full marathon and didn’t bite on anything. CDPs looked good and there was one BDX that looked interesting but i have been going crazy recently with deals (wine.com wineaccess.com firstbottle winetext and wtso). Im trying to be much more selective.

This is up again - Grand Cru Rosé Champagne NV Nicolas Maillart $29.99 free ship on 3 or more.

Anyone popped one of these? Seems like a great deal.

If the tariffs go through any Champagne under $30 would be a great deal :stuck_out_tongue:

We have and liked it. Would repurchase.

Anyone else grab these? I don’t think they lasted too long.
Fontanafredda Barolo del Comune di Serralunga d’Alba 2013 (1.00 Liter) for $33?
I did.
Seem like a great deal in a very usable and welcomed format.

Flâneur 2015 Pinot Cuvée Constantin being offered at $19.99

Fallet-Dart NV Grande Sélection Brut in the holiday sale section for $26.99. I went deep on these when they were last offered and was very pleased. Just grabbed another case.

Had to pass on the Caymus Liter. https://www.wtso.com/
Maybe if it was $9.69 I might buy one but with the $10 wines from Davenport I can get 9 wines for one Caymus. Not a hard decision.

Wow Caymus always goes quick.
