hmmm. Code doesn’t work on my end. NM - figured it out
Wine till sold out is smart for offering their case club at no cost. Pricing storage into the bottles, is likely what they are doing.
I suspect their data shows that case club members, who are given the ability to buy one or two bottles, and can have the wine stored, are much more willing to make frequent purchases
Couldn’t agree more, and certainly the case for me. Besides many decent daily drinkers in that $13-$25 range and quick east coast shipping, where else can I store wines that need some aging like my Barolos, Bordeauxs, Tempranillos, and CDPs, amongst others, for $60 yearly? Several years in now, I have about 30 cases banked, so i would say the model works. It is a leap of faith that they are being stored ideally, as I can’t find any verbiage on their site to that effect though I do believe I saw it at one time, and Gemini does say that it publishes that “bottles are kept inside their company-managed, temperature-controlled warehouse facilities”. No worse than my moderately temp controlled basement which is at capacity with dN and Cam X.
Not to pile on, but since I joined the club I have bought at four times the clip as before. Ten years ago wtso was my biggest source. I slowed down a lot (do they not ship to TX?), but now I’m back.
So cool the free code works! I like how they give you a chance to get in on deals you missed at the same discount price.
I should have done this a while ago but it feels even better for free!
They ship to TX and have done for at least the last year (I am in TX and have bought from them). Great service. Thanks to those who posted the free membership coupon!
Hm… “dailycc” code didnt work for me, bummer ![]()
Activated mine - thank you very much!
Worked for me as well. Thanks.
I tried several different times. Directly from the email. Directly from the site. Different browsers. All didn’t work. Then presto, on roughly my 5th or 6th try, it worked. No idea why or how.
Achaval Ferrer Finca Bella Vista. Delicious freakin wine.
Did you enter it in all upper case?
Worked for me also (copy & pasted “ DAILYCC”. What a deal… thanks!
I haven’t seen any achaval on the site this week. Is it just for prior buyers?
I think those all sold out. Sorry was just giving the least useful tasting note ever. The Achaval Ferrer Quimera is on sale in the case sale for $12.49. I had the 2020 and it was really a nice malbec forward bdx blend but significantly less complex. Still, at $12.49, if you need something to fill that void, it’s terrific.
Void?!? I do appreciate your help almost always but I am in total denial about how much wine will be showing up in October.
Achaval Ferrer Finca Mirador Malbec 2021 is available…not $12.49, $150.00 ![]()
Oh and the Achaval Ferrer Quimera Red Blend 2021 is indeed $12.49 on the case sale
Hey, you case club members. While checking on my order history, I noticed that 2 bottles from an order are in “Packaged-Held” status and aren’t in my case bank. When I first joined the club, it asked me if I wanted to transfer all my orders on hold into my bank and I clicked ‘Yes’. I expected that all orders would be transferred but apparently not. I tried to use AI to do this, but it told me to click a non-existent “transfer orders on hold” button so I’ve submitted a ticket. If you’re like me and hold your orders to ship in late fall, you may want to check and get all your orders into your bank before they ship.
Update: It’s only been a few minutes and the order has already been transferred into my bank by CS.
I’ve found their customer service folks to be quite helpful over e-mail with stuff like this.
I reviewed their FAQs and found the following that may be of interest to case club members:
If your case club membership expires we will hold your orders for up to 6 months upon request. If your order is not shipped out within the 6 month time period your order will be canceled. A full store credit for the original order total will be issued and sent to your email within 24 hours.
Bottles held in our facility for longer than 18 months even if you are a currently case club member may not be eligible for a full credit, as wine is a perishable product.
