$199 would be about as low as anywhere ive seen I think (although I wouldnt doubt some peeps around here were able to get their hands on some for that/less)
I purchased a few bottles some weeks ago for 219 for the Cristal 08 vintage at the Alhambra Costco. Also picked up some La Grande Dame 08 (for 109, I think) at the Tustin District Costco.
Its funny you mention that, as I swore the first bottle I bought last week was $220, but when I went back this week to snag another one it was $229. I figured my memory was just off, but maybe it wasn’t.
Hmm… I haven’t gone in the recent days, but it may have been a holiday sale? I better get myself over to take another look soon, as I’ve already depleted 2 bottles!
Costco in DE got some nice Cru Bourgeois
Very nice
Chateau Haut-Murac 2015
$12.99
Needs to open but it was really nice.
Today they also received the Kirkland Signature Series Cabernet Sauvignon Oakville 2016
I will give a report later on this.
Grabbed a bottle and will try tonight.
This is Way better than the Stags Leap wine they had last year.
WAY Better!
Damn Good actually.
Please don’t stop by the DE store and buy it all before I get a chance to go stock up.
This is what the guy who has the Costco Wine Blog said about the 2015.
Funny…I made the mistake of doing a pop and pour on the 2015 and didn’t like.
I gave this 45 min to an hour and I have to say it’s very nice.
$18.99
So I walk into the DE Costco an hour before the Eagles game and I see a guy with two bottles of the Kirkland Oakville Cab in his hands.
I said, “that’s a very nice wine.”
He looked at me and said…….“have you ever heard of the site Winebeserkers?”
Then he immediately followed that up and said…“Are you Karl F?”
I chuckled and said yes I am.
Said he lurks but maybe now he’ll post.
Told him to decant for an hour.
opened a bottle of this tonight. Very happily surprised by this for $13. costcowineblog says same winemaker as Caiarossa. I’ll report back on how it is on day 2 but tonight I thought it was a great value buy, and a great wine to open that would be a crowdpleaser but still leave a berserker pretty happy. sour orange, cherry, dusty tannins, and earth, on the bolder side for a mostly-Sangiovese for sure though
