Yeah, it was the one on Hindry. They were located with the other Italian reds top shelf next to the other Barolo they had.
The Costco app says it is still there
Are you talking about the Bollinger, or something else?
@rbarclay
Is that a thank you?
Welllll, things are not looking good for the Bolly LGA here at the Hindry location. Starting to wonder if there was a slight misunderstanding between Robert and me âŚ
But at least they have the burrata I need for this weekendâs pizzas!
#471 wine dept is sad shell of what it used to be, but they had the 2020 Lillian Ladouys for $20, which is a price similar to what I paid for the 2003 on release.
I donât even really look at the app unless Iâm going to be in some unusual out of my usual hunting grounds area. I really love the ethnic / local choices that some managers bring in that - sadly - do not always show up at my most frequented location.
Was 100% the Roberto Voerzio Barolo.
Use the app my man.
Yeah, I eventually figured out that Robert was talking about the Barolo. That is one thing I donât like about our ânewâ forum software â unless one looks really close, it can appear to be misleading which post someoneâs response is responding to. For example: what happened here. I was responding to one of your posts, further upthread, but my post came immediately after anotherâs post about the Barolo. So it looked like I was responding to the Barolo post, unless you clicked on your avatar in the upper RH corner of my post, to reveal your post, the post to which I was responding. This is why I usually quote the post I am responding to, but I figured here it wasnât such a big deal, so I didnât. I should have appreciated this potential for confusion before I drove my butt all the way there. oh well ⌠like I said, I was at least able to get some burrata that my local Costco was out of the other day (unfortunately, I missed-out on eggs today by about two minutes, too)
Is it possible to use the app to search for an item across multiple warehouses at once? I can only figure out how to search one warehouse inventory at a time.
This is exactly why one should highlight the text youâre replying to. The software lets you âquoteâ the text, making the thread easier to follow.
Also, my bad for ending a sentence with a preposition.
If you know the item number, it will show inventory status at all warehouses nearby.
How do you do this? I tried entering the item number and it only shows my selected warehouse.
For those of you that havenât committed all the Costco store numbers to memory, this seems to be in Sacramento, CA.
There are a large number of warehouses in this region, #1674 is the new one by the airport. Sadly, it does not have a gas station, and somehow Chevron has inserted themselves into the complex, and commands a $1 markup on a per gallon basis versus what Costco would charge.
========
For a community that knows every alley of Burgundy, Costco warehouse numbers are easy to keep track of as the numbering system is (to me) comparable to what Japanese prefectures use.
But why bother forcing people to memorize the numbers when you can use city and common location names? Its quite ridiculous actually to bother people who donât work there to look up numbers when theyâve already identified the place by the city.
âDid you go to Disneyland #1 or #2?â
Well now it all makes sense
Come on, if you canât be bothered to learn 5000 costco locations by number, are you really worthy to even participate in this thread?
I have no idea what my local costco number is lol.
Wine distribution down in AZ is pretty mediocre. At wine shop retail, prices are high, and selection just ok.
Costco is becoming my goto for daily drinkers. Fortunately, the AZ buyer seems to have a soft spot for RiojaâŚ
Happened to be down in West Valley area today. The warehouse in Surprise off 303 was an easy detour on the way back to I17.
Selection was pretty limited. That being said, they had a few under $20 selections that were ok. CUNE Rioja GR at 19, Jadot Bourgogne Blanc at 15, Kirkland CC Riserva under 10, etc. A couple no name Bdx at a low enough price to take a flyer. Beats bottom feeding at Trader JoesâŚ
Michael
I would take a wild unscientific guess that less than 5% of non-business Costco members know any store numbers.
