You literally just broke down the de Negoce model in 1 sentence, ha!
And wine access
i canât to see My Favorite Neighbor 3L Box at Costco
I doubt they have multiples of that set. They sell from the case when itâs the last one.
FWIW it seems to vary by release. I had a bottle of the 2021 release a week or two ago and thought it was pretty good. Not the quality of a $60 bottle, but itâs $20.
I grabbed a case of the 2019 Kirkland Barolo this morning. Mettawa Illinois store. Thought I might have missed it but turns out they just got it and they hadnât put it out yet. No hesitation on this purchase whatsoever. Maybe one of these years it will disappoint but not yet for me.
We got a bottle, and I found it quite sweet and light. The wife is less picky than me, but she also said it was kind of boring and a bit sweet, and that âthe rose we usually drink are much better.â Yet, after I drank a very small glass, she managed to finish the bottle herself.
The 2019 bordeaux river has begun to flow again in Reno. DâIssan for $49.99, Haut-Bailly for $92.99, Pape Clement $79.99, Pavie Macquin for $64.99, and Duhart Milon for $67.99
All up a bit for the lows but still a decent amount below WS lows from what I can see. DâIssan and Haut-Bailly were still easy buys for me at those prices
For $8.98 its pretty hard to beat. Changes year to year, and I have had 1 or 2 that were a tad on the fruitier side, not sure about sweet.
Clever woman!
I made a quick stop at the Wilsonville (OR) Costco yesterday. They had at least 15 Bordeaux available ranging from a 2020 Margaux for $600+ to several less lights in the $20s. I donât follow Bordeaux so Iâm not particularly familiar with the names, but it looked like there were multiple labels at just about every price point. They also had 2018 Produttori normale for $39.99 and 2019 Kirkland Barolo for $19.99, and a couple premier cru White Burgundies (one was a Jadot) priced in the $60s.
More to my purpose, they had some gorgeous prime New York steaks and Tri-Tip roasts.
Those prime tri-tips are soooo good.
I have almost never seen white Burgs in a Costco. A couple of no-name Chablis here and there.
I was surprised too. The Jadot was a Meursault and the other was Puligny-Montrachet.
We just got it in West Des Moines, IA as well. I didnât snag one but might need to go back.
Loved them at $8.99/lb, now they are $12.99 and choice is $10.99 here.
Prime is still worth it, IMO.
In SLO, the prime vs. choice tri-tip decision is day by day. A few weeks back, beautiful tri-tips abounded, even in the choice section. Last week, the prime ones looked worse than the choice ones from the week before. Sometimes it takes a little looking around to see what beef looks best, but thereâs usually something that looks good.
A few years ago I found one package of pretty incredible tri-tipsâŚman, those were good.
more 2020 bdx creeping into kirkland location. 2020 beychevelle for 84.
also some tadieu laurent cdp for those that like it woody
