Tony.M Outstanding! Thank you Tony! The Cab Franc is absolutely stellar. My wife Emily is a huge Cab Franc fan. So much so that I was apprehensive to produce one of our own.. but when we were fortunate to get access to the Red Willow block we jumped at the chance. It’s now a club favorite. Enjoy!
Let me just tell you about this Sur Le Moment…it was NOT supposed to happen!!! But, you know, fortuitous events set in and we HAD to make it.
See, in 2023 we brought in four different Rhône varietals…Grenache Blanc, Marsanne, Roussanne and Viognier.
- We fermented some Grenache Blanc and Vio in stainless.
- Co-fermented some Grenache Blanc, Roussanne and a touch of Marsanne in our Concrete Diamante.
- Then, we had a puncheon of Viognier and a puncheon of Marsanne.
We bottled Vio in just S/S, bottled just the concrete (which we name Béton - it’s sold out now….very sad), and bottled our Vin Blanc from all the pieces. So, three distinct wines. But, WAIT, there is MORE!
Before we put the wine from the puncheons in the Vin Blanc, we took half the puncheon of Vio and half the puncheon of Marsanne, blended them together and put the BACK in the puncheon for another year.
MEET Sur Le Moment. For those French speakers, that’s “in the moment,” which is exactly what we decided when we were tasting these puncheons while the wine aged. A barrel-fermented, extended barrel aged (17 months) white Rhône blend that we only made 52 cases of.
We’re letting you all get first DIBS at four 4-packs. THEN, we’re holding on to it to release to club later this Spring. It’s an incredible wine and very, very special. It will retail it for $50/bottle. Today you are getting it for 35%, shipping included.

Hi Kim, did you get to the final checkout page? Usually it shows the regular shipping on the first page (basically the cart) and then when you get to the final page before you hit PLACE ORDER, it zeros it out? Why don’t you check that out and I’ll go in and do some digging too.
@Kim_Brater Do you see the BLUE BOX that says “Berserker Day Shipping Promo $0”? See the example below. If so, I promise you’ll get $0 shipping if you just hit continue on the bottle of that screen. The
Hi again, that same screen on the right (or bottom if you are on a phone), shows $25 (or $28 in your case) shipping. But, when you continue it all zeros out. Sorry about that, we had a blue announcement banner put on the top, but I’m sure people missed it. It’s just a weird quirk of our online platform, Bottle 360.
Ordered the showstopper 6 pack at noon, then I noticed the cab franc and sur le moment hours later 
Both are right up my alley, but maybe next year. Looking forward to trying the showstopper though!

Can I just give a shoutout to the beautiful artist, Jen Borst, who did these labels for us? @Mountain.jen on Instagram (give her a follow!). She paints beautiful abstract mountains. This label was her interpretation of a photo I shared with her that we took from Elephant Mountain Vineyard at dusk on a full moon, looking down on the Yakima Valley. In the foreground, is the basalt rock that makes the Yakima Valley pretty special, then some vines, valley floor and the Yakima Folds in the distance (another unique aspect of the Yakima Valley AVA).
It’s an incredible piece and we’re lucky to have the original piece in our home. So, with this bottle, you also get a piece of art! Enjoy!

A note about shipping. If you are on your phone, it will be difficult to see that shipping is $0. If you are on your computer, you’ll see the regular shipping charge on the right but a $0 shipping on the left. If you continue to the final page, shipping WILL BE ZERO. This is a weird quirk with our Bottle 360 platform. If for any reason you are charged shipping, please let me know ASAP and I’ll refund you. We have not had a shipping charge come through at all today, but I’m ready to make you whole if in the very off chance it happens

I waffled a bit on it - first ever Yakima purchase, and Cab Franc can go either way. Read thedescription10 times and the linked review before pulling the trigger. It sounds right up my alley. Looking forward to trying it.
