OC Ravenswood library tasting - Off The Vine Cellars (Laguna Hills) - Date pending

Creating a new Offline planner thread (from this breakaway discussion on the Ravenswood thread) as there definitely seems to be some interest in getting together with our Ravenswood Library bottles, and I can get the private tasting room at Off The Vine Cellars in Laguna Hills for it, will be very convenient (as it’s RIGHT off the 5 freeway), and maybe I can bring a few suitable snacks as well. (but not sure what goes with older, delicate wines, so happy to take suggestions)

Let’s figure out a date, and since we have South OC to Carlsbad in play here, likely not a Friday. OTV is open 9-6 on weekdays, so I want to know availability of timing as well, again, traffic considerations. Is afternoon possible for everyone interested, to avoid rush hour around 4pm? They do have some Saturday hours, one per month, from 9am-1pm, and the next available is April 19, if weekdays won’t work.

Definitely interested and can generally do weekdays (later in the afternoon). Weekends may work as well.
As there may not be a lot of OC/SD Berserkers who have these older Ravenswoods, I would be happy to bring multiple bottles. Not sure we really need a bottle a person, but maybe . . .

Sounds Great and I know exactly where that is. That’s where Envoyer started.

Correct, and where Lopa currently is operating.

Are you good with weekday afternoons?

I’m good pretty much any day as long as I have noticed to clear the schedule

Color me interested. I can source something or I have an '88 Lytton Springs Winery. Weekday in April would be impossible but don’t plan around this outsider.

No worries on sourcing, Cris, if I bring 2 bottles it’s plenty for you, Brig, me, whatever

And anyone else who wants to attend, but does not have an aged Ravenswood, I can bring two, three, or even more if needed.

I’m up for this. I have many bottles to offer up if needed as well. Opened a 1988 Dickerson Zinfandel at a dinner yesterday and it was drinking very well.

I’m up for this if it’s a weekend.

Home life has been crazy hectic lately, with my father-in-law staying here since Feb 22 while he moves to CA…haven’t had a chance to even consider scheduling anything but I’ll get back to this hopefully next week when he’s moved in
