My Margaux dinner idea was a bust, lets hope this one succeeds. I have numerous bottles of SQN with torn up labels. I have avoided bringing these to wine dinners because it feels like going to dinner with a big hole in my shirt. So why not a theme based on torn labels? I will bring no less than 4 different bottles of SQN. You do not have to bring an SQN, you do not even need to bring a wine. I am thinking about Pescadou because it would be no corkage and the food is very good. Who wants in? Once we get 4 people I will set it up. We will limit it to ten people

I will lst the wines I will bring this weekend. I cant stress enough the point that no one should feel they need to bring a wine.

How exactly - or WHAT - do you expect a French bistro to pair with SQN?

Lol Good point! What do those French people know about Rhone varietal wines? I particularly like cassoulet with Syrah or Grenache.

That being said, I honestly do not care where we go other than wanting to keep the bill from spinning out of control. I will make the arrangements next week.

As I mentioned earlier, I have no strong feelings on where to hold our dinner. Playground was mentioned, and I really love the food there. So I am asking everyone to indicate their preference. Silence on your choice will not be looked upon kindly. Don’t give me it doesn’t matter, I know that. I will start. I would have a mild preference for Playground.

Never been to either but Playground looks awesome!
