Yong Chuan has outstanding house-made dim sum and peking duck that’s leaps and bounds better than other more well known “wine friendly” Chinatown restaurants. And critically, they have proper wine glasses, stellar service, and an ambience that doesn’t remind you of an emergency room.
I’m planning a prix-fixe dinner for 8 people. The menu will be finalized according to group preferences but will likely be around $100 per head (including tax, tip, and a heavily discounted corkage fee). You will not go home hungry.
I’ll likely bring Egon Muller Kabinett and Philipponnat le Leon. No specific theme—go with whatever you feel will pair well. While I’m sticking with classic pairings, I encourage others to push the envelope if they desire.
Here’s our draft menu. Please DM me if there’s anything you can’t (or won’t) eat, or anything you feel I’m missing. I’ll make any adjustments and finalize the menu a few days before the dinner.
