The 8th is out for me. I’ll put the 29th in the calendar and if it turns out to be that date, I will source something in early Jan.

I can do either date, will bring an 07 Tignanello.

I can do the 8th, but not the 29th.

I’ll bring whatever @Joseph_Grassa tells me to. More seriously, I don’t collect Italian, but I’m looking to explore so will happily source. Probably hit up Chambers.

The 8th or 29th look good for me right now.

Could bring either
07 Le Macchiole Paleo Rosso
08 Tig
10 Fontodi Flaccianello della Pieve Colli

Could also bring bubbles for a starter or an Italian sweet for a closer

Can’t do the 8th but following in case the 29th becomes the date.

Count me as a maybe on the 29th but too early to confirm. What’s the reasoning behind location? And what cuisine or general type of place?

I haven’t had an old Le Macchiole, would be great to see

American cuisine, trying to negotiate good corkage.

Ok Peter. I’ll pull from storage at Manhattan Wine Co. in NJ ( Cross thread endorsement), once the date and location is firmed up. And I’ll bring an opener or closer too depending on what others are bringing

epic!

If steakhouse is acceptable I can get us in to Keen’s and possibly Strip House.
Also Balvenera LES (Argentine) is a place we can consider.

Big fan of Balvenera… if the place I’m working on falls through, that would be a great idea. Thank you.

I am in for either date, and Julie is almost definitely in as well.

Most of the time I am going to dinners well outside of my wheelhouse, so picking a wine is easy. I just go with something that seems exciting, and is reasonably priced, or one of the few bottles I have.

I instantly have decision paralysis from this one though!

I will update with what I will bring over the next couple of weeks. I can also fill in the gaps on any white or sweet wine, but I don’t really have anything in the way of Italian bubbles.

I’m interested and can do either date. I have a few 2006s

Percarlo
Flaccianello
Pergole Torte

all are great… I hope you bring Le Pergole Torte though, such a wonderful wine.

We’ll wait a couple more days and then lock the date in.

29th is looking better for me but probably could make the 8th work too

I checked my schedule I might be able to make this. If I come I’ll bring Le Pergole Torte 2010.

@Brent_C_l_a_y_t_o_n I tried to get into Keens for a wine dinner and they said they greatly limit the number of bottles you can bring and pay corkage. I think it was 2-3 bottle max, something like that. Are you able to get around that limit?
