That’s one way to save him from the trouble of having to find a botttle with a cork I guess.
There has been a fatality in the thread.
you two will be missed tomorrow! the screwcap natty wines will not ![]()
it’s been requested that you put initials on the outside of your hidden bottles (to make organization easier) and if you want to email her ahead of time she can work on the order–up to you
huh?
Yeah. Nevermind. We’ll just do it the way we always do.
If you want to pm me her email I’ll send her mine. What’s our count looking like, should I bring 2 or 3?
Brian
If the third is good I’ll never say no
if anyone does want to send them to her, I’ll PM you her email
I’ll send mine to her if it helps move things along
looking forward to tonight–any drops?
What a night! As always thanks to Peter for organizing. Anyone think to get the lineup photo?
IIRC the unanimous favorites were:
2004 Pavie
2013 Marcassin Estate Chard
2022 d’Yquem “Y”
2000 Leoville Barton
2005 Opus One
2004 Ovid Experiment (forget which one)
Any other heavy hitters I’m forgetting?
Excellent evening everyone!
I’d add the 1995 Latour to that list and the LLC (forget vintage, 2000 maybe?)
Working on details for the next one… stay tuned!
Yes great evening, thanks for organizing as always Peter.
Tough for me to pick a clear WOTN.
I’d say it is between the 2004 pavie, 2000 LLC, and 1995 Latour. All were spectacular.
How was Chavel de andes? I want to get a better picture of SA wines
that one was flawed we think…
Looks fun - I opened a d’Yquem '88 Imperial (6 Litre) at my dinner last night. So I was there in spirit.
