I just had this idea that it might be cool to start a quarterly(?) book club that met in NYC. I’d pick a wine book, we’d all read it, and then we would meet to discuss and drink. Maybe we have the first one at a wine bar, but certainly can adapt and evolve if the idea catches on. I honestly have no idea if this is something that only I have interest in doing or if there is sufficient demand for it, so I’m just floating the idea out there. Let’s see. Thanks!
Oooh!
Do we read passages outloud in a circle?
Better yet, do we memorize passages and recite them in a style of our choosing (newscaster, falstaffian shakespeare, play-by-play baseball announcer?)
Is it a kinda “drink whenever they mention a particular appelation/method/the word ‘grape’” Club?
I’m in!
I’d be down for it
I was picturing more we read the book ahead of time and discuss.
Fine!. be “normal” and “sane” and “grown up” .,
I’m up for this in all seriousness.
I like it. Great idea! I am in.
I’m interested.
Would people be interested in doing this book? Or is this too technical?
