NYC Broadway After Show - Dinner Recommendation

I am planning on surprising my wife with a trip up to New York City to catch a matinee show on Feb. 4th with a nice dinner and overnight stay afterward for Christmas. I’m looking for recommendations on a dinner place that isn’t impossible to get reservations at.

It can be fancy (jacket required) and price isn’t necessarily a driving factor either. I’m looking for a great experience with a high quality staff, good food, and a nice wine program.

I have not been there post Covid but I love La Grenouille. I have been going there since the 1970’s and it is the last of this type of restaurant. I can’t speak to the current wine list but it does everything else you want.

Last two I went to in the theatre district were:
La Grande Boucherie (53rd & 7th)
Quality Italian (57th & 6th)
Both have a nice atmosphere, above average wine list and some good plates

To step it up:
Le Bernadin (51st & 7th)
Marea (59th/Central Park South)

Now would be a good time to book for Feb
