NV Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin Champagne Brut

Champagne is for Champions

To celebrate a championship Veuve works as most of it ends up not being consumed. Hopefully the real celebration has some Krug or Vilmart.

I wonder if VC yellow label has a different CuvĆ©e for the American market? Higher dosage? That would also contribute to discrepancies in people’s experiences with the wine.

Highly doubt that. I would imagine the US is a much larger market than France for Champagne as we are a much larger population.

Incorrect, by an order of magnitude.

Oh lol wow.

Now that’s an example of perception bias if there ever was one.

Try posting some tasting notes. This whole site is more about proving people wrong than actually talking about great wines. What was the last important contribution you had to this site?

LMFAO. OK BUDDY. I usually don’t like piling on, but I can see why you are a punching bag here.

Ok buddy who are you again? Can’t even use real name. You represent too many on this site as big mouths and no actually contributions to the site. Again post a tasting note!!!

Buddy almost all of my posts are actual content. [cursing removed by admin]. Congrats on being the first on my ignore list. Well done.

I doubt VC has differentiation between markets, given the amount produced, though happy to be proven wrong.
In my experience, when growers do differentiate on dosage between markets it’s actually in the other direction - the US market wants less dosage, not more.

I’ve heard Veuve makes an extra poor quality blend special for the Minnesota market.
