And there’s La Spinona in Barbaresco:

I dimly recall that the story there is that the dog saved some family member’s life.

My favorites are the Cuvée Busters.

I have organized two wine events – with the goal of raising funds for the Guide Dog Foundation – where all the wine in the tasting either had dogs on the label or dog names. It was easy to identify 20+ wines to fit the bill. La Spinona and Cuvee Buster were both in the lineup. ![]()
One of my fav dog wines:

Yes, plus the Clos Roche Blanche “Pif”.
Dale says he usually opens Edmunds St John Bassetti vineyard Syrah to celebrate his bassett hound’s birthday (I think it was the birthday - not positive). Not sure if that counts ![]()
If our Pomeranian purchase goes through we might adopt a Pomerol tradition.

Mutt Lynch Winery is dog centric winery. Rosenblum use to have (and still may, idk) Chateau Le Paws red and white that a portion of the profits were (are?) donated to animal charities. FWIW Kent Rosenblum is a veterinarian.
+1
technological luddite. failed, obviously, in my attempt post Mulderbosch’s Faithful Hound label. ![]()
Behold the Faithful Hound!

Following up on our offline and Jay Miller’s post:

I came up with some other possibilities for Dale’s dog Lucy and friends–invite a pug owner with a bottle from Puglia; a Saint Bernard with a wine from Bernardus, and a yorkie owner with a wine from the AVA of Yorkville Highlands (or for other forms of alcohol a Scottish terrier with a bottle of Scotch, etc.)

Mutt Lynch has a bunch and they donate a portion of their sales to Dog Rescue!
2010 FOU FOU LE BLANC, SAUVIGNON BLANC
2009 MERLOT OVER AND PLAY DEAD
2013 ROSIE ROSÉ
2007 LEEROY OUT LOUD
2008 “RUSTY” MUTTITAGE RED WINE
2009 “OUT OF REACH” MUTTITAGE RED WINE
2010 NECTAR OF THE DOGS LATE HARVEST ZINFANDEL

I serve this at my dogs’ birthdays:

My favorite name of the St. Aubin 1er Crus: Les Murgers des Dents de Chien (rough translation: “The rocks of the Dog’s teeth”)

And a German one: Rudolf Fürst - Spätburgunder “Hundsrück” GG. “Hundsrück” is the name of the vineyard and means “dog’s back”
