No one knows this wine? TNR: 2002 Hospices de Beaune Mazis-Chambertin Cuvée Madeleine Collignon Marc Colin Grand Cru

The hospices auction is a weird event. You judge wines that have been in barrel for less than two months and have not gone through MLF.
After the big day the wines are taken to another winery which may or may not be competent and/or touched by genius. I’ve bought with other people and sometimes I am happy and sometimes not.

Marc Colin is a pretty good winemaker so this wine should be a good bet. One of the more fun days of my life was spent with Jean Francois and Michel Rolland drinking Montrachet at the domaine in Saint-Aubin.
