I have a question about the wine shown above. I have tried to Google this and search WB, but no dice. Every result that shows up refers to the Nicolas Faure Nuits St. Georges Les Herbues which is a different wine (I also have that one and it clearly says “Les Herbues” on the label). I also looked at the Becky Wasserman website which is the US importer for these wines, no dice, again just shows the Les Herbues.
Does anyone here know any details about this plain NSG wine? It was actually more expensive then the Les Herbues and has a wax capsule instead of the typical foil. TIA.
i have never seen a bottle of faure that was not waxed so not sure where you got a foiled les herbues. also never seen the bottle in question, but it looks legit…
so apparently the bottle in question is half herbues and half new vines planted in 2017 in coteaux des bois (which are trained on individual stakes). only one barrel made which explains the price…
