Nice JR article about Eric Solomon and Daphne Glorian

Just found this nice article about my dear friends Eric Solomon and Daphne Glorian. Think it may have also been in yesterdays FT.

I have a bottle of the 1995 Clos Erasmus. Can anyone share their information about this wine?

Quite a few notes here: 1995 Clos Erasmus Priorat, Spain, Catalunya, Priorat - CellarTracker

Neat article. I think Eric Solomon is the greatest wine importer of my time, as he has an incredible stable of very inexpensive reds from southern France and from Spain that just never seem to miss the mark. I am willing to blindly purchase, with confidence, any of the inexpensive reds of his I find in a wine shop. [cheers.gif]

Thanks, Eric

Some of those CT notes I am sure are mine. The '95 Erasmus is drinking great now. Very nebbiolo like in many ways. For those who do not believe Priorat can age, that wine says a lot. Not that it means much to others but I think I have consistently scored it 94-96.
