Well i tried.
This is not a new to wine post, hope I am wrong, but too much info and detail for a newbie.
So are you still trying to sell your collection? Most of us here drink our wine. If you wanted to drink your wine and invited people to dinners, you would have many friends very quickly.
I was just trying to share a good story about some great red wine is all. I just spent this last weekend sharing and drinking some of this wine with my friends. We had an 89 Mouton Rothschild, 85 Opus one, 77 Taylors port, 85 Heitz Napa, 88 Mondavi, 87 Diamond Creek and 86 Pauillac. Haut Bages liberal.
well i just joined this morning, i would assume its a New to wine post as before this month i didnt really care much about wine. maybe im wrong. And if sharing is too much, well !!!
This site has a history of folks trying to sell wines and our guard is up. First posts with these kinds of wines raises an eyebrow.
Thats all i have. Im trying not to literally saying im selling my wine. Just wanted to show the world first before it was gone. I have no plans to sell anything here actually. Im already in contact with Christie’s, Sotheby’s and Benchmark wine group and waiting on few others. Nothing personal towards anyone at all. Looking to share a good story along with a rare collection of red wines.
But you are not really new to wine, thus the apprehension.
I consider myself new to wine. I knew nothing about wine last month. literally nothing. Now i know more. Basically i know what i have. I never had any of those vintages i listed before that i was aware of. I may have had an 87 Mouton awhile back but dont know. To me wine was always too tangy or tart. or Sour taste. Im a whiskey guy or was. growing up i drank beer and hard drinks. Im learning. Port will prob be my favorite if im being honest. Cant wait to try the 60 and 63 Taylors someday.
