New Producer: Alvina Pernot

I just tasted the Saint Romain Village and was impressed. She started her domaine in 2018 and besides having access to the fruit in her family’s parcels in Puligny-Montrachet, has begun to purchase her own vineyards. Wondering if anyone has experience with these wines…

I had the 2019 Meursault 1er Pièce-sous-le-bois a couple years back. Lovely and classy Meursault. Good depth and balance, youthful, but definitely could age. I haven’t bought any more, but I would for good prices.

Have seen her stuff around and often wondered. Prices were pretty steep for not-much-of-track record. Glad to hear some good reports.

Her grandfather is Paul Pernot, and she works in the family business, her father (Michel Pernot), and Uncle (Paul Jr.), etc. They’re carving out some vineyards for her to manage, but the family is very experienced and very involved.
