Need lunch restaurant recommendation near Cedars/Beverly Center

I need recommendations for an LA restaurant with the following criteria:

  1. Located near Cedars Sinai/Beverly Center.
  2. Takes reservations for lunch.
  3. Needs to be a nice place quiet enough for a group of 4 people to chat comfortably, but not ultra-spendy.

Other than that, pretty open to ideas…

Thanks,
Bruce

Hi bruce! There are a bunch of restaurants in that area and here are my recommendations. Hope this helps… Leah

Cecconi’s- Italian (Melrose and Robertson)
Madeo- Italian (On Beverly between Robertson and Doheny)
Petrossian- French (On Robertson by Beverly)
Mandarette- Chinese (On Beverly and Orlando)

Is Dan Tana’s open for lunch? Haven’t been there in years, but brings back fond memories. Ultimate in kitsch.

Comme Ca
Locanda Veneta
Lucques

My pick, if you like Indian food, would be India’s Grill on San Vicente & La Cienega. It’s great.

2nd Locanda Veneta

I’d third it, since it’s so close. Jar is pretty close by, but I’ve never been there for lunch.

Lucques
Chaya Brasserie

The Ivy. Been there forever so not quite as “au courant” as many of the others mentioned.

Crab cakes for me and you can walk there from Cedars.

Any self respecting wine geek would boycot the Ivy for their “no corkage” policy on principle alone.

Yes, they are BYO unfriendly, but the grilled vegetable ‘salad’ with shrimp makes for a very good lunch.

Thanks for all the recs. I think we’ll give Chaya a try; I haven’t been there in a long time, and never for lunch…
