Any byo? Especially interested in Etch, M, and Husk.
Etch fine with corkage.
Thanks, Jay!
Joshua…I have yet to encounter a local restaurant that doesn’t allow corkage…most are in the $15-25 range.
Etch is good…not a fan of Husk. Why M?
People are arranging these dinners, Adam,
Not me (there professionally), so they picked Etch (which has a decent looking list already) and M (not so much). I myself had selected Husk; why no like, if you don’t mind me asking?
Thanks for the heads-up, I’ll probably bring a few bottles to M, which is the last night of the workshop.
Other locals on the board may chime in, but even some of my foodie friends are not fans. For me, a combination of not living up to expectations and plenty of other options for dining.
I am headed to Nashville for a wedding- going to 5th and Taylor one night. Asked about corkage- $25.
Working to update this thread - it’s been dead for 8 years. Some recent BYOB experiences I have had:
360 Bistro (West Meade) - $30; however, regulars like my wine group they usually permit 1-2 bottles at waived corkage if you ask nicely
Audry - $25 limit 3 bottles
5th and Taylor - quoted $25, but waived when I offered sampling to the Somm
Folk - $0 - waived the $25 - great with their woodfired pizzas
Bad Idea - amazing wine list so we ordered 2 older reislings, but if friendly with the Somm waived corkage. Normally $35
Locust - $35
