Napa/Sonoma Recs for Southern Rhône fan

I searched but probably didn’t keyword it well but I have a colleague who is a Chateaunuf-du-Pape lover that is heading to Napa/Sonoma. Any suggestions as to visit spots? I was thinking maybe Bedrock, Ramey, Martinelli in Sonoma?!? Any help would be appreciated!

Unti Vineyards in the Dry Creek Valley makes some really good Rhone’s, at reasonable price points. Might want to give them a peak.

Hit up Macario Montoya at Campesino (very nice Syrah, Marsanne/Roussanne).
Bedrock a good bet as well.

Second the Unti rec. Others in Sonoma I would visit are Frick, Preston and Quivira. All are in DCV and can be easily done in a day.

Benevolent Neglect has a good GSM out of Sonoma. No idea if they take visitors, tho.

Thanks as always!!

Have then head into Girl and The Fig for a meal or two in Sonoma - Rhone-focused.

The question kind of made me chuckle - why not just try to fine ‘the best’ wines in a region? Not sure anyone who loves Chardonnay would visit Paso for that variety for instance . . .

Cheers

Mark,

I work with Philippe Cambie from CdP. I’d be delighted to chat and taste with your guests if I am around. You can email me at vvwines@gmail.com if you want.
