What are your top 3 Napa cabernet under $300?
Spottswoode
Macdonald, Maybach,
Kinsman Eades and MACDONALD are my top 2.
After that there are several that can all be considered for 3rd. If only chosing 1, then VHR (closely behind or tied for 3rd would also be Maybach, Roy Piper, Monte Bello, and Tynan)
Anything made by Schrader (however, in all transparency I think their latest price is 305?!) Realm still has some offerings under 300. I like Kapcsandy also (again, their grand vin is over 300 but their estate wine is pretty good stuff.)

Not sure how to leave out Beta and McDonald (am sure I would have listed–if I was on the list and have tried!!)
Interestingly, just noticed I believe these are all close to or under $200?!

Maybach Materium

Never tried MacDonald, still on the waitlist, but have to imagine this would likely be #1 based on everything I’ve read. QPR.
While it’s reality, it still pains me to know that almost all of these wines were in the $100-150 range just five years ago. In another five years, we’ll be discussing which is better at just under $300, Realm Bard or Bevan Ontogeny
