My wine discovery of the trip (to Chile) - Errazuriz Syrah Aconcagua Costa

Wonderful trip to Chile (more to come) with family, just had a long night of recovery sleep and fighting through brain fog at the moment while trying to catch up on BerserkerDay 16 work, but had to ask if anyone has had this wine or knows if someone can import it, as it was my favorite wine of the trip, and, as is common with many Chilean wines when purchased locally, cheap. Unfortunately I didn’t have time (or a Wine Check) to buy a case to bring home, hoping it was available somewhere in the States, but, alas, I don’t see it.

Modern/trendy style of Syrah, earthy and vegetal nose, great dark fruit profile, savory and briny, complex, interesting, and shockingly affordable. I’d buy a case of this instantly if I could get my hands on it.

Anyone else try it?

Todd,

Looks like their importer for the US is Shaw-Ross International based out of Florida. They have a contact form on their website and could probably point you in the right direction. That Syrah isn’t on their website but it never hurts to ask.

I think they might be with SGWS in California so that might be another avenue. It should be pretty easy to go to your favorite retailer and ask if it could be special ordered.

Thanks,

Zachary

wow, thanks, Zachary!!!

I wasn’t sure that importer links were allowed

Good luck!

I bought some Errazuriz Pinot Noir Las Pizarras from Woodland Hills Wine Company, so maybe ask them if they expect to get any of the Syrah in.

Always been a fan of their single vineyard Carmenere. Used to be regularly available at Total Wine. Was actually one of the first wines I specifically sought out after a great bottle along with arepas.

Looks like they still have it, to ship
