My wife won't usually drink QPR's but

Bodegas Castano Hecula Monastrell 2005

I get dark berries on the nose and palate. Relatively smooth with decent structure. Easy to drink, especially with pizza. We used to drink prior vintages of this wine years ago but I’d forgotten about it until I saw it the other day at Costco. Bought a couple for $8 and change each. I’d buy again.
This could be a good cellar protector (I’m trying like hell to age my Arcadians)

Well, a thousand might be a bit much (IMO), but how about $300-400?
