My Burgundian Sauvignon Blanc!

Yup forumites, it is a fact of life! Here is a link to explain the appellation of Saint-Bris>

TN: 2014 Domaine de Mauperthuis Burgundy Cotes d`Auxerre, Saint-Bris.

12.5% alc, good natural cork, $23 Cdn, Lot MISB 143015.

Light lemon in color, quite a restrained sauv blanc nose here but floral, blackcurrant, grassy, mineral tone…" no pee like one of those pungent Touraine whites" from across the table! I had to remark that style has changed somewhat over there, grin.
Initial entry thought is dry, non-searing acidity, some gooseberry. Very nice mouthfeel, good length, nice mineral tone too, Overall not too profound but enjoyed with pan-fried chicken breast and scallop potatoes, fiddleheads (frozen).

I love Sauvignon Saint-Bris -

Goissot is my favorite producer, and one of the benchmarks for the appellation.

Thanks Thomas, that name has cropped up elsewhere!

De Moor makes a fun one.
