My best and favorite glassware right now. (Yay Glasvin!)

Chris…beautiful pair-matching TNs.

Nowadays with prices for Chambolle and Vosne - reds around Corton hill are my favorite go-to red Burgundy after vintage 2009 [cheers.gif] .

Thanks Peter. Yes, while they don’t quite scratch the same itch, these are very pleasing wines at a somewhat more attractive price to participate.

BTW, Chris - I am not familiar with the shapes of the most the burgundy wine glasses mentioned in this thread. I assumed that the Grassl Cru is on the left and Zalto Burg is on the right, am I right ?

I used to do lots of pair-tastings with Ile de Vergelesses vs Les Vergelesses by Rollins and others based in P-Vergelesses.

But lately, for the last few vintage, I got more into the reds from Ladoix and A/Corton by my preferred producers Michel Mallard and Dom. Chevalier based there. They are amazing QPR reds.

*Thanks Peter. Yes, while they don’t quite scratch the same itch, these are very pleasing wines at a somewhat more attractive price to participate.

Hmmm…according to Matt Kramer’s Book ( Making Sense of Wine - page 32 )…I would call that : free spirit approach for a true connoisseur. [dance-clap.gif]

Man, these look awesome!! I might get some just to see if they actually bend like that, ha!

I want to test that out too, but man does that have the potential to end up horribly if something goes awry. Report back if you test it out.

The Zalto is on the right, yes. My photo doesn’t really illustrate the size difference between them well. As others have pointed out in the various glassware threads, while the overall shapes are somewhat similar between the two and the bases & stems are almost the same, the Zalto has a notably larger bowl diameter and somewhat wider opening at the rim.

They use this Ion Shielding Technology, reinforcing the previously delicate collection, making it twice as strong and flexible as other handmade glasses of similar thinness.

They’ve won multiple design awards…I have the Volcano glass…when I squeeze the bowl for my wine friends they think its fake, not glass…crazy stuff…for quality stemware, this is the next level.

So awesome! I think I need to try these!

NM doesn’t have the volcano with a stem https://www.ylighting.com/search?prefn1=Category&prefv1=Wine%20Glasses&q=Stem&srule=
Stemless https://www.neimanmarcus.com/p/nude-stem-zero-volcano-glasses-set-of-2-prod242190134

Unless sold out, your first link has the Volcano stems…I just bought the white glass yesterday

the stemmed versions are not listed as ‘volcano’

Chris…thanks for the confirmation.

Hmmmm…indeed awesome.

Online images I can’t tell what the difference between the white and red glass are.

You bastards lol I bought some of those nude glasses. That video got me.

any chance you can post a video of this? I want to believe

Though not listed as such…the Volcano glass is the one shaped like a Volcano and it lists whether it is white or Red…FYI, the red is a monster in size.

A sucker born every minute! [snort.gif] …njoy

That video is dopeAF

The YouTube video is not enough? [scratch.gif]

Real world videos are always more impressive/believable than promo videos. What can I say, I’m a skeptic.

I’m a boomer so I have no clue how to post videos, but that video is very real…my friends all thought my glass was made of plastic until touching and feeling it…I’ve had it for a year…I take it to tastings, private dinners, restaurants…its been rolling around in the back of the car (in its container) on numerous occasions …I’ve hit the brakes hard with it flying off the front seat (in its container)…I’ve knocked it over a couple times (no container)…no issues thus far…its an incredible product, the pinnacle of quality.
